In the very near future (about a month) I will be buying a Tele. I've got them narrowed down to either the American Vintage, or the American Deluxe Ash.
Of course I really want that butterscotch blonde finish with the black pick guard.
Other than that though? I'm totally at an impass. I have no idea which to buy. I've read all the specs, loads of reviews, and still. can't decide. I like the vintage casue it's......vintage. I like the old bridge alot. But the Deluxe Ash has the new wiring and the noiseless pickups....Anyone else "suffered" through this? How did you make your mind up?

Actually, after reading this, I think I'm leaning towards the Deluxe Ash....

I had the same problem, but landed on the 62' reissue. And I don't regret at all! It's absoulutely fantastic, everything I can ask for!

I added the SCN Noiseless pickups and an S-1 switch to my lite ash tele and I love it. so much so, I bought an american deluxe strat in ash. I tend to like ash, though it's a bit heavier, I think it has a nice sound. Honestly, when you get a tele or strat up in the 1200-1500 range, they all sound great!

I'm prejudice towards the American Deluxe model but what do I know...

Bloomfield, NJ? I know where that is! I used to live in Belleville!

I would go for the vintage myself. It's just the way a guitar should be.

If you want modern playability go for the American Deluxe.
