hey i was at gc getting new strings... again (i need to be nicer to my strings) and there was a very long line so i decided to play around. normally i play a strat and ocassionally a lp. i've never given the tele a second look but this time i decided to say heck with it and try one. and man let me tell you i loved it! i like it better than the strat and lp. it's also not as cliche and popular as a strat. the tele is the original and the best. now instead of saving for a h1 strat i'm saving for a 69' ri thinline tele or a h1 tele. (which do you guys like better)

I think that they're both good guitars, but I also did the same as you described, and found the Thinline quite nice sounding and the neck felt pretty good also.

You can't go wrong with either, though the Hway 1 has a hotter set of picups.

Very happy with my Highway. It's one of four guitars that log most of my hours.

You can play 'anything' on a strat, that's not the case with a tele...

Maybe you just liked the 'change' and the neck....I dont' care what anyone says, you can't be as versitle on a Tele.

If you know how to 'play and pick properly' you can make any strat sound like a tele....I'm in the Nashville area right now and have heard this...didn't belive it until now...but if you want 'twang' without having to 'use your thumb and pick the same time...can't beat the tele.

Seems like it would depend on you end use of play on choice.
