Hi. I'm making my two dream hot rodded MIM Fenders standards. I'm changing some hardware and pickups (there will be only wood, frets, nuts and bridges left orginal MIM, rest of parts will be original Fender replacements like shaller Tuners, or other details, I chnage that what I don't like about MIM standards). Strat will be completed in a month, Tele need some more time.

Does anybody has any photos of black Tele, maple neck and white pearl or black pearl or maybe tortoise shell pickguard? Maybe some MIM?

My MIM Strat and Tele going to be little hotter (SD JBJr, Little 59's and some single coils in middle position of strat and tele neck position) to be capable of playing harder rock and some metal, and in fact so many other music styles. I think those two guitars aren't best for being vintage style sounding instruments, they are very modern styled for me, so I want to make these two modern style hot rodded Fenders for heavier sound. Also I want to make them pretty so I've put white moto pickguard and backplate on Strat and also going to change pickguard on the Tele.

Also I would like to have a vintage style Tele and Strat, and I'm thinking that after upgrades (those that I do are worth the same price or even more than a MIM std. guitar) I will buy a Strat and Tele/Esquire from classic MIM series.

I think that MIM standarts are best of Fenders to be hot rodded in way like this.

;)

Hm.. I remember the guy from the Average White Band had a black body - maple neck Tele with a tortoise guard, but I couldn't find a picture.

Maybe I wasn't clear. Althought all posted pics of teles are great. I need only photos of black body, maple neck with white pearl, black pearl or tortoise shell pickguard.

Also I decided after playing one, that only strat will have duncan humbuckers and will be HSH. I'm going to put CS Texas pickups on my Tele.
