So, I've had this guitar for a year and a few months. Very, very nice. But! The truss rod stripe on the back of the maple neck is becoming noticeably (by feel mostly, and by sight if you look closely) separated from the maple neck. I can feel it with my thumb when playing and it's really annoying. The separation starts at about the 2nd fret and is starting to reach up to the 5th or so. The stripe is either rosewood or walnut, I think. I'm pretty disappointed in that this is top of the line and a $1250.00 guitar. Any suggestions? Anyone know if Fender will take care of this? I love you Fender, I really do, but I called a support line and there was a loop that continued no matter what number I pressed - so I'm reaching out to the forum for help.

Thanks!

Howdy dank.

I also have the Am Stand. but no such problem!?

Just curious, do you live in a very arid environment?

Too bad Fender employees (Custom Shop or otherwise) don't answer the call on posts like this one. It's not like they have to sign their employee number on the post or anything.

Yup, it's frustrating that I can't get a clear answer.

Dank, write to them, send pictures. If it's under warranty I think they will replace the neck (hopefully).

Take it back to the Fender authorized dealer, first. They can tell you what Fender might do, especially under a warranty.

I will take it back to the dealer and see what they say. I have a bad feeling about this though. I doubt they'll replace anything.

Thanks for the advice.
