As usual I am cautious about spending the itsy bitsy bit of money I have in this bad economy, but I've heard so much good talk about the telecaster I figured I would expirement with one. So I took a little trip to the music store.

There I found a MIM Sunburst Standard Tele. Something about the neck. Something about the neck. Yeah, there is something about the neck my hand likes. The sound is ok, and maybe a better pickup could really bring her to life. But I think I like it.

Too bad I can't afford an MIA.

Color looks fuzzy in this picture, don't know why, but if you've seen one Sunburst Tele, you've probably seen most.

Yup! There is something about my MIM Tele's neck that I love. Altough my '52 HR Tele is no slouch in that area either.

Play On!

Nice guitar! I love my MIM Tele. It's one of the best bargains out there.

Love the MIM Standards.....I've owned a total of 4 of them now, and I think their great guitars. I bought this one at GC right after Christmas this past year and got an awesome deal on it. I think its my favorite guitar out of all the guitars I've owned to date.

I have one just like it - color and all. Love it to pieces. And you are right - that one piece maple neck is delightful.

Congrats for the guitar, those MIM Standards are a great bang for the buck, nothing wrong if it's not a MIA.

I mentioned getting an awesome deal on my MIM Tele in my previous post.... it was not even two months before Fender jacked up their prices. I think it was $424 I paid total for that Tele, but I told them i didn't need the gig bag and they actually took it off the price for me! I hadn't ever thought about doing that before.

Be Careful!
Something about that neck, something about that neck is right! If you're not careful you wont be able to play anything else. In order to play my other guitars including my Strat, I have to hide the MIM std tele in the case in the back of the closet  !

Great playing guitars. Rather than play my other guitars, I've gotten real good at working the Eq on my amp to get LP like sounds, Stratesque tone, etc.... The neck plays so sweet, I feel 'in control' and can 'make' it sound like other guitars!!

Just about everything but the super Heavy stuff that I don't play anyhow.

I found this 06 MIM at Best Buy for only $329. I love the neck(after setup) and think it plays and sounds as good as my 93 American Standard. It's lighter too!. Great guitars, especially for the price.

They started selling MI stuff several months ago, and they have some great deals because they don't know what they're doing, lol! Some BB have guitar stuff, some don't. Check out their website. I think they're blowing stuff out because they're trying to get market share away from Guitar Center. The store near me has all kinds of cool stuff, but not a huge assortment of accessories, etc.
