After being intent on buying a blue flower tele, im saddened to say I didnt. I bought a HWY 1 Texas Tele instead LOL (Pics coming soon right after I get a black pickguard).I was wondering if anyone had any tips on acheiving that vintage tint look on the neck of a tele simular to that of the 52' or will it possibly happen over time. I want to darken the neck of my White Blond Texas Telecaster. I was thinking maybe brown show polish but I dont know if that will cause a sticky residue to build up. I love the Vintage look but I wouldnt ruin a perfect neck for it. :D

The neck should darken over the years. I bought an MIM strat in 92 and the back of the neck and headstock had the typical light wood finish. When I sold it a few years back the wood had developed that nice golden honey colour that you see on the vintage models.

You Hw1's neck will darken with time/sun exposure. I've seen people using Kiwi in forums, and it comes out nicely, but I never knew if it's effect fades away after a while.
