Back around '97 Fender produced some MIA Nashville Teles. They had a 'tummy' contour, pearoid PG, bound body. 3 Lace Sensor Pups and a mini toggle that turns on the bridge Pup when the switch is in the 'neck' or 'neck/middle' position.

Does anyone know any more about this model? Were these the stock PUPs?

Were these version #2 of the Tele Plus? This style was only made in 1996/97 (and maybe for a month or two into 1998 until the American Deluxe Tele replaced it circa March/April).

Yes, the MIA guitars often referred to as Nashville Teles are in fact the Mk II Tele Plus model. You are correct, the Mk II Tele Plus initially came out in 1996 and finished up in 1998, when the model was slightly changed and became the MIA American Deluxe.

Here's a typical 1997 Tele Plus...

Personally, I think these are probbaly the best Telecasters if all, as they can be swtiched to give Bridge/Neck as well as Strat-style Bridge/Middle, Middle/Neck combinations.

I can't help myself, I have a few of these suckers....
