Just trying to figure some stuff out, Fender started using their Sherwood Green color back in the 50's and i just love it, I was hoping someone could tell me exactly when (on a telecaster)
Thank you very much!

According to the Curtis Novak web site, Sherwood Green was first used in 1960 - 1965. Not sure when it was used on a Telecaster, but I have a Sherwood Green/rosewood Squier Standard Fat Telecaster ca. 2000.

Around 1961, Fender produced it's first chart showing (I think) about 14 finishes. Sherwood Green was one of the finishes. The chart did note that some finishes were subject to change without notice.

Some guitar's in the 50's would come right out from factory in a custom color, but in that case, they were really a custom order mostly, Fender didn't offer a color chart, you had to get in touch with them or a dealer and ask for the color you wanted. So, it's impossible to say when the actual first sherwood green Fender came out (if there was ever one in the 50's).
