That would be alot of work. But it can be done. First off, to make it all alittle easier, you would need to use the same bridge specs as the one that's already on it. If your guitar is American, you'll need a tremolo with American specs, if it's foreign, well, foreign specs, that way your six bridge screws will line up properly. You'll also need to route your body to accomodate it, plus the routing in the back for the springs and all.

You would really need to know what your doing to pull it off right.

Why not just buy a Stratocaster?

The Tele plays great. The neck is awesome with it's 15.75 radius and the profile is just right. It was a great fit for my hand. I play for fun and really like how smoothly I can move around the neck with chords or soloing.

The humbucker bridge cleans up nice. I'm playing it through a Fender Princeton 112 plus solid state amp. I don't like the neck pickup, it's a little to muddy for me no matter what I do. I'm not crazy about the coil tap sound, it's a bit thin.

The sound is not tawngy or bell-like at all, so now I'm looking at a strat with single coils that has a neck similiar to my Tele and with a whammy bar. It will compliment the Tele really well.

Thanks for the input.
I'm going to bite the bullet and get a new guitar instead.

After much contemplation, that's what I've decided to do.
