I am new to the site and just joined today. I got my name SeaNymph
Man from the brand of fishing boat I own. Though I do not own a Fender
guitar at the present time(,...I have in the past and gave up because an instructor only wanted to line his pockets with money instead of teach),I
am seriously thinking about getting back into music. I had a Tele once before and wished I had never parted with it. I miss my Telecaster and
Blues Jr. amp combo. Now if I can just find an instructor who is interested in teaching instead of lining his/her pockets with money,...I'll be all set.
My music interests include Christian, and Country.

Welcome SeaNymph Man, maybe you should get a vaccine because here you can catch the infamous Guitar Acquisition Syndrome virus, very contagious. :)

You must be a fisherman, too, along with being a guitar player! :D
My fishing boat is an older Sea Nymph 14R utility-v bottom row job
with a 9.5 HP Johnson motor,...soon to be upgraded to at least an 18
to 25 HP Evinrude or Johnson. Back to music playing,...what kind of
music do you usually play,Bill?

What materials would you suggest I try when it comes to teaching myself
to play again?

Not sure if it is a Fender,...but my pastor at church plays a guitar
that looks like a Stratocaster. Yeah,...I know this is the Telecaster
board! You won't hold that against me for mentioning Stratcaster, wil
ya? :)

Yeah I try to get a line wet every now and then, I have a big lake in my backyard...
As far as music, I go for older rock, and blues. I've only been playing a little over a year, so I guess you might say I'm more of a hack. I am however getting better everyday...
