Saw them in the new MF catalog. Looks great with wide range humbuckers and ash body with f hole.

I love Guitar Center. I went to the local GC in hopes that they may have one of these. They did not. Not only tha, but it took me about 5 mins to explain to the dude 'helping' me that he didnt have one.

"no..its not a deluxe...its like a cross between the deluxe and the thinline...no thats a thinline....you don't have....no..thats another deluxe... its got a semihollow body with an F...no..trust me..you dont have one"

Funny. Imagine looking for the Deluxe with the whammy bar:

"no..its a deluxe...but with a vibrato bridge and a large strat headstock....its like a cross between the deluxe and the strat...no thats a regular deluxe....you don't have....no..thats a strat with a humbucker but not... no..that's a jazzmaster...no..trust me..you dont have one"

I can relate to that, markenbach. I checked my favorite GC when I first saw the messages here about the Classic Player Black Dove and Thinline Deluxe and no one there had heard of either guitar. But wait! The sales dude I was talking to had Guitar Center's web site open so I asked him to do a search. See, I told you I wasn't hallucinating. :)

Its like they can't admit they they just don't know.

I would be much more impressed with a response of "really? Fender has some new gear out? How have I not heard of this? A Thinline Deluxe? SWEET! I gotta check this out!"

Show some passion for your job instead of sounding like you are selling furniture!
