I'm looking to buy a telecaster that doesn't have the finish to the fretboard. I've looked at some but was wondering what I should try out.

00000 grit steel whool seems to be the tool of choice for taking the sticky finish off fret boards. Make sure you rub from nut to body!

Or you could go with one that has a satin finish - much smoother and doesn't feel "sticky" at all. Try out a Highway 1.

Satin finish guitars - Highways, Jimmie Vaughan, Standard, Am. Standard... Fender is not making any guitar with unfinished necks yet, the Road Worns come close though hehe
