Yea,
'72 Deluxe is a great guitar. My cousin has one he traded his college room mate an amp and a real nice LP copy for. It was sitting in the closet!! I asked him to pull it out so I could play it. I had it sounding so good through his custom 5E3 he snatched it out of my hands . He knew it was a nice guitar, but didn't really take the time to play it much after the trade.

Next thing I know, his beloved USA Hamer Studio is cased up and I think he's got about 4 teles now and a couple of strats. Kept his Hamer but sold the PRS and a few other guitars. We now call it the Fender conversion 'moment'. Nothing sounds better through a Vintage Fender amp than a vintage Fender guitar!!

Good luck finding an actual '72. I ask my cousin if his is for sale at least once a month and it's going on 5 years and he still saying 'No'....... :(.
