I'm about to buy a Highway One Texas Telecaster. I just can't make up my mind which color.

Which one?

Honey Blonde for me :D But mind you, it shouldn't matter what other people's opinions are when it comes down to just the finish.

Personally I think the sunburst is overdone. It's a classic though. Hard to argue with.

I'm sure you'll make the right decision.

There is no bad choice. I think you should choose the guitar that feels and sounds the best.

Unfortunaltly i can't play before I buy. Nobody around here has one. I have to order from MF or GC. I really like both colors.

Hello Bradleyjpg25,

For me, I'll take a sunburst.

Cheers

I went with the 2 tone burst but the honey blonde is pretty sweet too. Which does your "gut" say to go with.

Ding ding ding and sunburst is the winner. I already have a sunburst tele but I just like it more than the honey blonde. It would have been different if they had a butterscotch one to choose but they don't.

Obviously color is very subjective, but since you asked...

From pictures online the Honey Blonde looks pretty nice, but with very light-colored (it's not varnished/lacquered I don't think) maple neck it looks, well, plain. With a rosewood fretwood it might look better (don't know if that's an option), but of the two, the sunburst is is more appealing to me.

I bought a honey blonde highway one back in Feb. Love it. It comes with a satin nitro finish and I'm finding on certain areas where my hand lies such as above the bridge, where my arm lies on the body of guitar and the back where it rubs against me have polished up to a gloss. I think in a few years I'll start to get some nice wear in these areas. Can't wait!!
