I'm really blown away. I've got a lot of awesome high end guitars, acoustic and electric, and telecasters have always been my first love for an electric that you can coax all those bell like tones out of, as well as the snap, crackle, and pop of a great telecaster. I never spent the dough to buy a custom shop relic telecaster, but did think the concept was cool. I must say now that the road worn series has been released, and I just picked up one today, they are outstanding guitars, with everything great that telecasters are known for. The relic process looks very realistic, and the nitro finish allows the tone of the ash body to shine through. The tex-mex pickups sound great, with a distinctive vintage sound, along with all the sizzle you'd expect from a 50's set of tele pickups. Very authentic, realistic, and full throated, for clean and overdriven tone. This guitar looks, feels, and sounds like a custom shop relic. Thanks Fender for finally making a great vintage telecaster copy that us players can afford. I highly recommend all tele enthusiasts out there pick up one of these asap before they become unavailable.

This is one of the reasons why I think players should try/play a guitar before buying. Congrats and enjoy your new Tele!
