Hi psychoshna: or you could take a step up the catalog to the American Deluxe in Butterscotch Blonde:

http://www.fender.com/products//search. ... 0101702750

Other than that, it's only available on the American Vintage and Vintage Hot Rod models.

Cheers - C

Honey Blonde is another cool color. 8)

You can always strip and re-finish too.

Thanks guys, a lot of wise men at this forum!
I've found a 52 reissue MIA at eBay that strikes my fancy!
But Im a little sceptical on buying such things of the Internet, since I don't know how serious the seller is.

Thought I should be a little off-topic and post a couple of images of my pride and joy.
My 1965 Hagström III! Also know as the poor man's Fender.

Hi again psychoshna: what is the import tax position when you buy things in the European Union and bring them into Norway?

That American Deluxe is easily available here in the UK for £1099 / 1180$. That's about 11,440 Norwegian Kroner. Here for example:

http://www.andertons.co.uk/ElectricGuit ... leShopping

And I've seen it cheaper, too.

Time for a booze cruise across the North Sea perhaps, with a little guitar shopping when you get here...?

Cheers - C

My Dream Tele! My first choice in color combination as well. If this is in your budget, you may very well never lust for another guitar (unless you're like most everyone else I know who loves guitars...there's always something to lust after).

I've an American Deluxe Strat for almost a year now, and from the first time I picked it up...Fender....thank-you...The fit, finish, quality of everything is outstanding. The guitar is arrousing to just look at and feel, and then to play...

BUT that doesn't mean there's not other outstanding Fenders, and I think I've seen a number of pre loved MIM's and MIJ's in butterscotch blonde.

Ceri: I think the import tax is 25% of the price of the guitar.
And I've found a used American vintage '52 reissue here in Norway!
A booze cruise would be nice, but again, It's not cheap ;)

Yea, I've looked at the Baja Tele, but since I have a MIM strat, I thought I'd go all the way this time and get me a MIA :) I'm currently looking at a used American Vintage '52 RI
