I wonder if anyone has advice as to a better-than-original-quality tuning machine and nut for the Tele. Seems I tune after every three or four minutes of playing. Thanks.[/img]

Even if you have the cheapest Squier ever made, your tuning machines are fine.

Take your guitar to the best tech in town and have him do a complete setup and explain your tuning problems. Ask him to pay careful attention to the nut slots. Even better - have him make you a bone nut from scratch.
