Anyone play the JA-90 yet? It looks great, with a set neck and soap bars, how could it not sound great.

I've had a chance to try a couple, between two different Guitar Center stores. They were just what I'd expected...about the same as the TC-90 they replaced, but a bit mellower tone wise for having mahogany bodies.

Trust me...if you already loved the TC-90, you'll love the JA-90. :D

I'm very interested in these as well, but none of the local stores carry them. I'm waiting for Fender to back down on their rediculous and massive price increases and then I'll order one for sure. I have a hard time forking out $750 for a Korean made guitar. :x

Anyhow, I'll be monitoring this thread to see what folks think of this guitar.

I finally got my ebony ja90 the other day. I love it. As a long time Les Paul owner this one gives it a run for it's money. It has deep tones, great sustain, it's my Les Paul with a little tele twang. Mine was made Indonesia. How does this compare to Korean made guitars? Any way this one is flawless with beautiful grain and craftsmanship.

I´m curious about the balance of this guitar using a strap.
Since is supposed to be very light weight, and Teles have some little balance problem on the neck, what about that?

I didn't even really notice anything about balance until I saw your question, to me it just seems lighter all around, the neck does NOT feel like I have to hold it up and when I am hands free it stays in place like it should. As I pay more attention to the balance I am really liking how light and balanced it does feel. Check one out.

What did you think a guitar with some guys name that no ones heard of or even cares about would be made in the US or Mexico.

This is the problem with Sig models. They seem to go to the flavour of the month instead of people who deserve it by promoting a certain brand for in some cases years.

Agreed on many levels, but I would have hoped that Fender would at least make them in Mexico. I know they build as cheap as possible and sell for as much as they possibly can, but "crafted" in Indonesia, really? As much as I am trying to, I don't think I can get over this. I could care less about the signature on it, I am a fan of Teles and P-90's so a perfect combo, but no matter how much I like something, I am not going to pay ridiculous prices for it, as I said before $750 for "Squier" with a Fender logo? Would you pay $7500 for a Yugo?

I really don't care where they're made as long as I like them.
I don't really care about Jimmy Adkins either (listened to Jimmy Eat World and I was very much unimpressed), but that one is one seriously cool guitar.
I'm not into Rancid either, that didn't stop me to get the Tom Armstrong Hellcat (MIC).

So, my next ones will be the JA-90, wherever it is made at the time, and a Hagstrom Viking (made in China all the way, not in Sweden as in the good ol' times). Oh, and a Custom Tele FMT HH (MIK), please Santa!
