i have a tele...just bought it last weekend...and there was a Fender Bigsby already installed on it...

to be honest it rocks!
i like the feel of the bigsby and the true vibrato...

unfortunately...it does get in the way of the knobs...a little...

not the end of the world by any means...but just something to consider is all

heres a pic of what im talking about

i saw that baby online alright its lovely looking.. i m not sure would that model fit mine, the bridge is a little different, though i may be wrong, for one, my strings start at the back of the guitar, like in a strat, but i m sure when its installed i just use it like yours.
and in fairness, ha.. sometimes if u strum hard teh nobs start getting turned off and onn without intent so maybe thats a good thing!!

Man, I'm sick with Jealousy!
I've been fantasing about putting a B5 on my 72 Custom for some time now. I've just not got the guts to do it!

When my wallet allows it, I will buy a Mex 60's Tele and whack I B5 on that.
(I'll need to find a friend with a pillar drill too!)

currani,

it looks like the color of georges from the rooftop concert because both are solid rosewood guitars...

this one is chambered and has a maple slice sandwiched in between but harrison's wasnt chambered and came in 2 lbs heavier than mine (11lbs!!!) mine is 9lbs!!

that is partially one of the reasons he got rid of it...it was too heavy but it just oooozes out creamy tone!

on a side note they made hendrix a strat of rosewood as well...and i only saw one for sale for 6k!
ha!

Bigsby makes a kit specifically for Telecaster installation. It includes everything you will need to convert your Telecaster.

ha!

interesting side note about that strat, fender actually made TWO, the presentation guitar (Hand-built for Jimi in 1968), and a prototype for a new model, which never went into production. Jimi never did take possession of the guitar, and it has never been accounted for. the other guitar, the prototype, is currently in the collection of Mr. Michal Indelicato. it too had a maple veneer in the middle. still weighs 11 pounds though. would you like more info on this strat?
