Cats are the most disgusting animals one can have for a pet. First they go and $@!& in their litter boxes and then get on the table, counters were you eat.....a bad case of lead disease will solve your problem from reoccuring.

Wow!
My cat likes to 'sleep' in my plush Fender case, but peeing is another story. She does get pissed off if I ignore her and continue to 'pet' the guitar and will try to find a way to ease between my hand and the neck. Fortunately, she just get's jealous but not vindictive otherwise I may have been writing this post.

You may want to try some of that 'Natures Miracle' pet odor and stain remover. You can get it at any of the pet stores. It supposed to be safe for most materials and surfaces and instead of harsh chemicals, it uses enzymes to neutralize and remove the urine or other biological anomolies as it dries.

Should work on both the case and the Tele. But, I would be careful on the guitar. You probably would want to use a cloth and wipe it on as to not get your electronics wet.

You could try an old Cabbies trick.

Suck up as much of the urine as you can then pour as much as coffee grounds as you can (I would use Starbucks cuz its not fit for drinking anyway). Let it sit for a day. Vacuum out the coffee grounds. It should try & coffee sounding.

Good Luck man.

Sorry for chiming in a bit late to the discussion, but I really feel like I need to add my 2 cents. I finally found something that works for the cats & cases in my home!

What a relief to finally have gotten rid of the horrible cat pee smell, and without any expensive sprays at that.

Registered an account only to say this:

One of my 2 cats (both neutered males) had taken to painting all of my walls, furniture, and anything else he could reach. I was horrified when I got a UV light. He never did that in all of the 9 years I've had him and didn't when I got him a buddy (they love each other and did so right away) but when a strange black cat started showing up outside both of my cats went nuts and the older one (9) started his wall painting, as well as the curtains out in the kitty room. I couldn't keep up with it.

My cats are indoor cats so it's not like the stray is actually going to get in here but they both hate him (and he is weird...my neighbor's cats hate him too). I've tried cleaning with a pet urine enzyme and then spraying some "No More Spraying" but that hasn't worked.

He's a sneaky little bugger too; he waits until he thinks I'm not looking and then does it. He's learned that the minute I see him backing his butt up to something he gets yelled at. It wasn't until I found "Cat Spraying No More" that I was able to finally get rid of this tiresome behavior. Now my house doesn't smell like a litter box anymore

To be honest, I don't know too much about it so I did a quick Google search and here's a review I found: https://nomorecatpee.com/index.htm

I'm based in Germany, by the way, so you should be able to get it too. Good luck!

OK, around our household I am known as the king of stain and odor removal. It's actually easy with just a few basic ingredients from the super market. In this case, get a spray bottle and do a 50/50 mixture of white distilled vinegar and water. Just tap water is fine. Spray this directly on your guitar in the affected area. Let it sit a few minutes and then wipe it off. That should remove the odor.

For the case sprinkle the affected area with baking soda right out of the box. Don't be shy, use as much as you need to cover the area fairly well. Now, grab that bottle with the vinegar and water. Spray the baking soda in the case until you see it bubbling. Let that bubble like that for a while. Then rub the mixture in to the affected area and let it dry. When it is cry get a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment and suck up the dried up mixture.

That ought to do it. Worst case is you have to repeat one more time. Or you can just soak the area fairly well with the vinegar solution and let it sit for a while and then blot up the excess and let it dry.
