Don't waste your time on a jagstang, it's junk, unless you want it for a rareity. If you read, one of Kurt's favorite guitars was his Jaguar, modified with humbuckers, and a tun-o-matic gridge. I did this to a 62 re-issue and made a great guitar. It's painful cutting into a new Jaguar, but worth it. Now Fender has one in the Jaguar HH. Pretty much how Kurt had is Jaguar modified. Don't forget to put the chrome vintage tele knobs to make it complete. Oh, and beat the $@!& out of it, or relic it on your own like Kurt did. He invented road worn decades ago.

Also, before he died, he had been playing a telecaster with humbuckers and told friends it was his new favorite, too bad we never got to see him do anything with it. The last recording "you know you're right" was recorded with the jaguar. You can hear him plinking around on the strings between the bridge and the original tremlo stop bar.

The vibrato/whammy/trem bar is hardly working, the arm can't be fitted and will fall out all the time (and why a vibrato bridge for Nirvanas music?), it won't stay in tune neither

why a tremelo you mean? because kurts favorite guitar was a mustang. which is what the tremolo is from. yes, his was blocked. i recommend any jagstang owner do the same.

The pickup switches, placed right above the strings is no good if you're playing hard and jumping 'round the stage.. You'll hit them and eventually turn the PUPs off

dude, have you ever played a mustang? the switches can be lowered as to correct this, but i'm yet to do it on mine.

I have very small hands but even though, the jagstangs short-scale neck is hardly playable beyond the 12 fret

what a douche statement. how is the neck hardly playable? does your hand go retarded or something at this spot? it's quite playable almost the full length of the neck.

If you're buying a guitar just because kurt used it I'd look into jaguars, mustangs, jazzmasters (for the normal neck-size) and even strats

jazzmasters? really?

this guitar is quite nice, as it's japanese. but it is not very pretty, and kurt himself was not happy with the results. see kurtsequipment.com or wikipedia, but srsly... get a cheaper guitar. people want big bucks for these, but dude is probably turning over in his grave.

check out the vid on youtube of when they play Drain You in france. the POS stops working. that was a one off, custom design and the $@!& sucked.

get a jaguar. don't mod it for a humbucker, that is for when you can't play with enough balls. or just suck it up and buy a les paul. either way, STOP TRYING TO BE KURT.
