You *may* by some fluke be able to find one. Some music dealers order special runs of certain guitars, under whatever colour they ask for. For example musiciansfriend has a deluxe strat in vintage white, which isnt listed on the product page. It was disappointing news when i went to go pick one up.

Is there a reason why you won't consider a '52 Vintage RI? The Butterscotch finish reflects the period of times past and seems to be reserved for those RI's only. Of course, there's the significant difference in price but, I say it's well woth it. I have one; they're incredible reproductions. :D

I suppose it's a possibility but it's 300 quid more :P

Which means a longer wait to get my hands on one xD

That's too bad. But at least you have your mind made up. It's a waste of money to buy something you don't want (like a black finish instead of butterscotch, for example).

yeah man, i dont like black telecasters ..... I think its the most unsuited colour to a telecaster! It's a matter of taste I suppose.

i'm currently using a USA strat though so im not desperate for a new guitar yet :D

You can get the Hyw 1 Tele in honeyburst, which is very close!

I share you dismay. But that butterscotch special edition squire is beautiful. with a few mod's ie neck, pickups, vintage compensated 3-saddle brass bridge, earvana compensated nut, and string thru body mod you'll have a killer one off guitar for under 800 bucks us 8)
