Lets face it the Tele had had a part in the stories of many players.

what would be cool is to list all of the recordings that are known to have a Tele as the main guitar sound, I know I have been suprised to find how many early Zeppelin tunes were recorded on a Tele.

The Tele has been sort of branded and yet players from all genre's have used one and still do.

I'm glad I went back to the Tele, it has things my Strat just dosen't have and My Strat has things the Tele dosen't have.

You really need both to have a well rounded tone library.

How about "Mr. 335" - Larry Carlton. He said he settled on an ES-335 in 1969, which would have made him about 22, just as he was getting into a lot of session work. I've never seen a picture of Larry using anything else (electric).

He did the solo in "Kid Charlemagne" and I'd be curious to see how that would come out on a Tele.

Larry Carlton was noted for also using a 1951 Telecaster.

EC at home in the '70s with a Tele and a Pignose.

It might be interesting to see what some of the "shred" guitarists that rely on whammy bar tricks would do with a Tele in their hands. Eddie Van Halen? Steve Vai?

Steve Vai is a musician a very cocky musician whose "presense" Im not to fond of but to say he relies on whammy bar tricks is just comical he went to Juliard played for Frank Zappa and has had a very successful career in his own right. If you cant see that I kinda feel sorry for you. On Van Halen your pretty much spot on
