Is the string spacing the same on the "old style" Vintage 52 RI as the "new style" American Deluxe. I want to know if these two bridges are interchangable Original Vintage Tele Bridge with 3 Brass Saddles and the American Tele with 6 Chromed Brass Saddles.
Anyone know?

They are not interchangeable.

It's not because of the string spacing but due to the holes for mounting the bridges on the bodies.

The '52RI bridge is mounted to the body with four screws. The four screw holes are closer to the neck than are the six string holes.

The American Standard, American Series, and American Deluxe Teles have a different, longer bridge plate that is mounted to the body with three screws. The three screw holes are farther away from the neck than are the string holes.

Some options to convert American "modern style" bridges to the vintage style:

Thanks for the links however I'm trying to determine if an American Tele with 6 Chromed Brass Saddles bridge will work with a Warmoth 1970 to present Tele body. That they are not interchangeble causes me to think that the American Tele bridge will not work with the Warmoth body. I think that the six adjustable saddles allows for more accurate adjustments than the three saddle type. True or not so much?

I think you can custom order a warmoth body with the string spacing etc. to accomodate the modern bridge plate rather than the vintage set up.
