Hello out there. I'm new to this fourm. And just recently purchased a 1993 Tele. custom. I have been taking lessons to help me become a better blues player. I have six other guitars, but just couldn't find the sound or feel I was lookin for, for the blues. Until I played this Tele. it's in very good condition and as a matter of fact for a 16 year old guitar the frets and finger boards have almost no wear at all. This Tele. feels like I have been playing it for years, it kinda feels like a comfortable pair of old sneakers. It has lots of sustain, and I love the tone from mixing the humbucker and single coil pickups. And it plays the blues very well indeed. I think I may have become addicted. I have been looking at the J5 with the three Humbucker's does anyone out there know any thing about the J5? Unfortunately I haven't found one to play with, yet... E.B.

I have a J5 Deluxe (with 3 HB). It's a nice guitar, but I don't think as a Blues player, you will get much out of it.

I would suggest, if you're looking to get another Tele, that a 72 Thinline Reissue would be the next most logical guitar to look at. They are pretty good for blues, I understand. :D
