Hey all,

I'm actually a strathead and usually post in that section but I've fallen inlove with a certain guitar recently. 3 Tone sunburst 72 thinline reissue...oh its beautiful. If there are any french posters out there I hope your familiar with Jean Leloup (Jean Leclerc) hes an awesome artist and tremendous guitarist. His album Mexico is a must if you dig that vintage tele tone. He uses an authentic 72 thinline.

All that jazz aside, what i was really wondering is if you tele experts could let me in on thats guitars tone secrets...is it the semi-hollow body that gives it that large full bodied sound or is it the long-range humbuckers that do the job ? And how do these pickups matchup against say a PAF gibson humbucker ?

Cheers,
JackSteel

The full range humbuckers do have a very mellow and full tone - but of course a lot of the tone equation is also the amplification used.
