Post subject: Is Fender Tele Good for Blues?

Hey im just wondering if Telecasters are good for blues and even if possible Dire Straits. Im gonna be buying one soon. An American standard 2008 model. But I don't know if i want to buy a Strat instead.

Several well known blues players have played Telecasters. (Mike Bloomfield, Roy Buchanan, Albert Collins, etc).

Copping Mark Knopfler's tone is possible, but will need help with your amp settings. Try the middle selector position and add compression and mids.
