Here's my new USA Telecaster....you notice I changed the pickguard.

On the neckplate there's a small black sticker which advises me not to try to recycle the guitar.......most useless advice ever??

The proper disposal method is burning.

Hi merlinthecat, welcome to the forum, very nice guitar congrats. When I see a guitar like this one I want to grab her and play the hell out of it. Cool choice of pickguard too. 8)
The "Don't recycle" is just a shortcut to avoid the long list of "Ten things you shouldn't do with your guitar", like
Don't use it as a paddle to escape the flood caused by the global warming.
Don't use it as an axe to chop your ennemy's head. (Viking thing).
Don't use it as a fire starter like Hendricks tried to do.
And so on.
With proper care and maintenance a guitar like yours will last forever so the "Don't recycle" warning is irrelevant.
Have fun with your new guitar. 8)
Claude.

Old guitars never die, they just become organ donors to Partsocasters.

Actually looks as if EVERYTHING in the EU gets this stupid sticker....there's one on my Boss Digital Studio too, and I'm not about to recycle that either.

Coming back to the Telecaster.......it's a very nice guitar

Actually, the most useless sticker would be a Be Kind, Rewind sticker on a DVD box. That's why I've decided I'll never apply for a job at a video store...'cause I'd be the *&$@# that would put those stickers on the DVDs. :P 8)
