I Just bought a baja telecaster and when I tried to plug it in the 1/4
inch plug would not plug in, But when I tried another 1/4 inch plug it
pluged in.
My question is "Isn't a 1/4 inch plug a 1/4 inch plug??
and is this "normal" for a telecaster? :?: :?:

Certain right-angle connector cables will not work with the Tele jack...If neither was a right angle cable...I don't know what could be going on other than perhaps operator error

+1. What type of cable do you have? Straight or angled?

I have a goofy problem like that........only not with a guitar. One of my Boss effects pedals, works with only two of my "jumper" cables, used to connect multiple pedals, but not with others. Now all the rest of my Boss pedals work with any of the jumper cables. Go figure......... I just use the two that do fit, for that pedal.

Compare all the plugs on all your cables side by side, as there may be a very slight difference with the one that doesn't fit or something...

I Compared them side by side and I can't see any difference between them.

Clearly your baja tele is rejecting this inferior cable, perhaps as a defense mechanism to counter its own feeling of inadequacy.....

Just kidding, a strange problem, i dunno what it could be.

Although I have encountered a similar thing before where a seemingly ordinary plug doesnt fit into a guitar, kind of tends to back out by itself.

I have seen 1/4 cables that are actually a little bigger or smaller than normal..... I am assuming is not an expensive cable you are using ?
