hello everyone.
i have an fender telecaster MIM, i think its from 2006.
i have put in an fender usa neck on it and everything is nice only one thing thats bugs me a little and need som help with.
the 6th string(high E) is to close to the end bottom. so i think maybe i need to change the Telecaster Bridge Assemblies. so i was thinking if there is some difference in spacing with the Telecaster® Bridge Assemblies mim and usa guitar.

i noticed that the nut spacing is difference with mim necks and usa necks. the usa neck has more spacing.

so can i buy an Telecaster® Bridge Assemblies for usa guitar, fit it into the guitar? what to look for in spacing? what to buy?

thanks for help

Good news - you don't need to buy anything.

All you need is a phillips screwdriver.

The high E string is too close to the edge of the fingerboard, right? Not so much near the nut but when you get close to the body, it's a problem, right?

This is common with Fenders and other bolt-on neck guitars, especially if you just installed a different neck.

Loosen your strings a little bit. Loosen the neck bolts a little bit.

Grab the headstock and pull the neck toward the low E string. View both E strings and make sure the neck is centered between the E strings. You want roughly equal distance from each E string to the each edge of the fingerboard.

Tighten neck bolts while watching the E strings to make sure the neck doesn't move. Retune strings.

That's all there is to it.

hello and thanks for answer, this helped a bit, but not perfect since now the low E string is close to the end, but that is not a big problem. i can now use this axe better but i still need to change the Telecaster® Bridge Assemblies i thinks. So what to buy???? i checked the bridge out on couple of web sites and look like the mes. is 10.5 or 10.8 or even 11.5.
and to i messure my bridge to know what i have????

thanks

one thing to be careful about is that by changing you string spacing with a new bridge is the string holes in the body may be out of alignment along with the mounting screw locations check your measurements accurately the numbers you listed are in milimeters and most tapes or rulers are not divided below that

I guess if you fit a genuine fender usa bridge to match the neck spacing?? but, yes the hole in the body are a potential problem, they're not exact though even on my telecaster
