My 1985 $@! telecaster has a a bridge i havent seen before, a six piece, but in the style of the original three piece design. Has anyone else come across this bridge design?

You mean six saddles instead of the three saddle bridge found on older teles.

that's exactly it! 'dyou reckon that could have be fitted to a 1985 japanese made telecaster? I'm just curious to date/source the guitar.

that said, it plays like a dream anyway!!!

I think that 6 saddle vintage style bridge comes as case candy on a 52 RI.

I swear I saw this on a new guitar at GC not too long ago... some RI but I can't remember which one. Anyone have a clue? I played it and it was nice. But I don't remember what it was....
