The right deal, at the right place, at the right time.
I've finally found one of the exact guitars I've been looking for, at the right price, for years. Stopped in GC and there it was. It plays great. It's apparently a 92-93 MIM Standard. It's got some tough love bruises, but nothing awful. Plus it came with the flipped switch plate.

I'm not too crazy about the top-loading bridges, but it plays great and sounds great, so I'm not too concerned about it.

It looks great!

Now put some of the brass compensated saddles on it and let it ring out and sustain better.

Thanks a lot guys. I actually have been thinking about changing out the bridge, but I'm not sure which way to go yet. The top loader leaves me a bit disadvantaged. :?

It's funny though, because I've been looking for a used black with maple fretboard, standard MIM Tele for several years now, but could never really find the perfect one with features or feeling I was after. I was looking on the GC used section online at work on saturday and saw this. All it said was used Tele MIM. No color, or series listing. So I drove out to Algonquin, which is about 45 min away from me, just to check it out. I walked inside and there it was. The perfect one. Played it, couldn't stop, the price was too good to let go. So, I bought it and I love this thing. I haven't felt this good about a guitar since I bought my Strat when I was 16. Sorry to gush, but acquiring this thing has been a quest for me. :D

What a deal !!!!

I gave 300 for mine (see your not going to believe it) and I didnt even get a gig bag.

Mine is the same year.

Don't be in too big of a hurry to swap out parts get to know it first, you just might find it works for you as is.

enjoy !!!!
