There is a local guy that wants to sell a Marshall JTM60 head and matching 4-10 cab with a "US" Telecaster for 900 dollars. The amp and cab is in great working condition but can tell it has been heavily gigged. Its sounds great and even better with the tele running through it. My gripe is about the Telecaster. Its a Sunburst Tele with the Three pup config (lipstick, strat coil, tele coil) in it. The bridge says fender and has the vintage three saddle setup. It feels a little light compared to other teles I have played and the neck plate is compltely blank. I am getting the SN number later today, but I needed to get a little info on it. It says madi in usa on the back of the neck. Anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks guys.

If it's a DN8XXX or DN9XXX then it's a pretty sweet guitar. I have a sunburst 99 american deluxe tele with the three pickups (vintage noiseless with the strat in the middle position.) It has a five-way toggle with a switch to turn off the bridge pick-up. They only made this guitar (american version) in regular production for one year.

Mine, comparing to your description does have something on the neckplate. And it has the typical deluxe tele headstock with the VIN on the back.

If it is one of these it's kind of rare and they've gone for between $1150 and $1350 recently on ebay depending on the shape it's in.

If it's not one of these, if you like how it sounds and feels then buy it. Nashville MIM guitars are still like $500 and up. And with the new pricing everything might even be more. Good luck.

Sounds like a partscaster to me, not a standard Fender model.

It might be a nice guitar, but not worth $900 most likely.
