Anyone have info on the reissues of this guitar like George's. I think there was a japanese model that went for over 3 grand and from what I can recall a cheaper mexican model a couple years ago. Any info is much appreciated.

cookieman15061,
I believe this same question came up last month, or maybe back in January. Try searching the forums and see what you can come up with. When I get time I'll see if I can find the thread and post it here for you.

Thanks ES I did read the thread but wasn't sure how many different versions there were. Ive seen pics of the Japanese version and it looks pretty sweet but not sure if there even was a MIM one.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Someone here will be able to give you an answer.

Is that 07 Epiphone Casino natural you have the John Lennon 'revolution' version? I saw it in your signature and was wondering.

no Its just the regular one although I did mod it a bit to look like johns with hopes that someday I will be able to nab one.
Here's my Beatle collection at the moment. I just got the Hofner as a birthday present from my wife.

There are various types of Tele that are "Rosewoods"

-1969 USA Rosewood Telecasters (original model)
-80s/90s MIJ/CIJ 69 Rosewood Tele RI (full rosewood construction)
-00s CIJ Rosewood Tele (Rosewood veneer body on basswood)
-MIM Rosewood (Rosewood veneer on Alder :?: )
-2007 Custom Shop Rosewood Telecasters (full Rosewood construction)

Over the years, the Custom Shop has also made "special order" Rosewoods in very small numbers for specific clients.

Here's what they look like...

cookieman15061 - Great picture of your Beatle gear. Love the collection.

AjayTele - That is a sweet picture of the rosewoods. Do you own those or is that a marketing piece that Fender put out?

No worries. That's part of the fun of being a collector.

Here's a closer view of the three USA Rosewoods. The 1969 is on the left.

And don't forget the 2011 Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Tele-Bration Light Rosewood model, which is a "modern" reinterpretation of the original.

Hi Cookieman:I'm a card carrying Beatles freak too.I don't know if you are intent on getting a Fender only Rosewood Tele but Burney,Evans,Tokai and several other top shelf Japanese makers have dead-on copies of the Rosewood. This site carries them as well as MIJ Fenders http://www.guitarsjapan.com /their prices are quite fair and you may very well get a MIJ Fender there cheaper than in the U.S. BTW I love your guitars.I've started to build up a collection of Beatles guitars-I wish my wallet would gain a bit of weight so I could really get on with it.
