Hey guys/gals. I came across a used Tele that I am considering buying (since I love my Amer. Standard Tele so much). I was wondering if you have ever heard/seen this model. It is a 2006 Std. Telecaster Special Edition, made in Mexico, and it has a 'natural' finish. Very nice looking guitar!

Does anyone have one of these? How does it rate compared to other Tele models? Anyone have the specs on this model?

Your feedback is appreciated.

My MIM Tele standard that I got in 2004 at Guitar Center has a sticker on the back of the headstock that says "special edition". It is black with tiny sparkles. I don't remember what the color is called. Other than the color, I don't think it's different than other standards.

Thanks for the response. I figured that there wasn't much difference besides the 'special edition' sticker. I wonder what makes it 'special'...seems misleading.
Oh well, if I can get it for around $200 I'll still buy it. Why not, right?

Hmm is it that ash-bodied one? I that's the case, it's the very same as the regular Standards, just with a natural ash body. If it looks and plays cool, go for it 8)

Yeah, it might be the 'natural ash' model. I'll have to check it out sometime this weekend. Could be a good deal.

I would be all over that thing for $200. I really like my tele. I really don't know alot about it, but when I bought it, I had played all the ones at my local guitar center, and this was the one for me.
