i have an "el-telecaster"... perfectly happy with it. my buddy's got a '75 american (the road-worn models look just like it). the only differences i've noticed are - he's got the fat fret wires, and if you cut the neck along one of the frets on his guitar, the arch would be more shallow, so it fits your hand a little more comfortably.
as far as the way they sound, i can't tell the difference.

Hello Mark Monteverdi,

Firstly welcome to the Forum.

Those Mex guitars are fine instruments
I gotta '96 tele that's not let me down.
True enough, I feel the American made
is a better product but at the higher price
I think mex models represent a greater
value. Best of luck with it.

Treat us al to a photo if possible.

Cheers.

I'm looking for the "right" Tele. Can you describe how an American-made Tele is better than its Mex counterpart? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum! Look at both guitars under the product section on this site and the hit the specs button on each and you will see exactly. Anything else is just some one's opinion! Good Luck! :)
