Hey everyone,

I have a 52 tele reissue, and I had just about enough of the tacky, sticky, gluey finish on the fretboard. It slows my vibrato down and my bending. Has anyone else had this problem??? Is there a way to get that finish off?

I was considering customizing a fretboard from USA Custom, or Warmoth and bolting it on my guitar. I was thinking Ebony, or Birdseye maple. Not sure yet. Does anyone have any comments on this? I want a traditional twangy tone, with a bright edge, and I want it to be super slick. However and in a personal battle because I like the distressed look of maple as the years go on which I wouldnt get out of a darker wood. How is rosewood?

Lastly, is there anyway I can adjust my pickups (especially my bridge pickup) to make it hotter? I want it to scream with tele twang.[/img]
