My mom gave me $1,000 to buy a guitar for my dad's birthday. I think he will like the baja because it looks like his old one. I don't know what kind of fender he has now, but he got it from my grandfather so it is older than dirt. Is the baja a good guitar? He plays old hillbilly songs and sing like a cat got stuck in the dryer, if this helps. I don't what to get ripped off and my mom doesn't know much. Sorry about all the questions.

An "older than dirt" fender could be worth a lot of money! when it comes to fender, old guitars are worth so much more!

To help you with the question we would need picutures of the guitar he currently has, so we can say if the baja would be similar.

The baja is an awesome guitar, so they say anyway. ive never played one but it gets great reviews.

Thanks for your answer, it is helps alot. I'm sorry, but I can't give you a picture. My dad locks his guitar room. He also likes this guitar brand called rickey, but I can't find any information about them. Does anybody heard of them, thank you very much.

I can tell you that the baja tele is a versatile instrument. The only problem may be that if your dads a purist it may be a little too much for him with its switching options. Still they are a good guitar full of character.

Don't sweat it too much. I doubt he is gonna be disappointed when his family says "Happy Birthday, here's a brand new Telecaster!"

If he's worth getting it for, he'll love anything you get him. as long as its not pink.

as far as getting him something that he is already familiar with, I think I'd like something that I had never had before.

Good enough for James Burton to play backing up the king, so probably good enough for any of us!!

does the same go for sequins on your white polyester bell bottoms?

I love the look on the drummer's face. "What is up with that shirt, man!"

Baja is like a totally radical guitar from what i have heard, it also has a nice tone to it.
