Wow, he played for Dr. John. That's awesome. I'd say he's earned it, that's one impressive resume. I was glad when I saw GE Smith got one. He made SNL worth watching for him alone.

I have mixed feelings about Sig Models. I mean sure it's great to honour a artist with his own guitar but I would like to know the criteria (if any) for what make an artist to be considered because I can think of a few artist who have Sig Models and wonder (What the Hell did they do to diserve this) A few that come to mind are the Jim Atkins Tele (were Jimmy Eat World ever big) John Mayer (boring) Billy Corgan Strat, Tom Delonge and seeing how it was brought up the GE Smith Tele ( He was the reason I DIDN"T watch SNL)

When you look at all the people who Don't have Sig Models like for example Mick Marrs, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Buddy Holly to name a few. all of these people should have been considered before the one that do have them in my mind.

But in hindsight I think it's a good thing they don't because it seems to me that the reason that these people have Sig Models to begin with is to validate their carrer. Also I'm sure if you ask any person most will agree that the second list should and the first shouldn't

Very impressive resume, there was some talk of a Robbie Robertson Tele some time ago. I think that waould be a cool guitar as well, time will tell.
