Post subject: Custom Shop Nashville Tele?

I'm a bass player so bare with me. A friend of mine is looking at a Black "Custom Shop Nashville Tele". Upon doing some research before driving 2 hours to pick it up, he's found some troubling things. First of all it has a seriel # on the back of the headstock and the custom shop logo is off to the side (closer to the nut). All other pics he's been able to find online have no serial number on the back of the headstock and the custom shop logo is right in the middle of the back of the head. Is the guitar he's looking at a scam? Thanks so much for your input.

He also said that the serial number starts with a 0. Not sure if that's a zero or an oh. Thanks again.

To post pics, you usually need to have then hosted on a third party photo host site and then post a link to that site.

Impossible to tell much on the description alone.

No the serial number does not make sense to me. An O prefix may mean a guitar made in Korea for example.
