$449 at GC but it plays as good or better than my 06 American Deluxe Strat

Thanks Fender! I would expect a 1200 dollar Strat to be all that and a bag of chips, but this little beauty is superb. Honestly, you could replace the MIM with made in the USA and no one could tell the diff. It's that well made. Action, fit and finish is perfect.

I was one over to Fender when I picked up the Strat I bought last year. You've convinced me that Fenders are the best made guitars for the money out there(IMO). So, when I hesitantly picked up this tele I was thinkin, "yea but it's not a USA one, It cant be as good". I was wrong

I never even played a tele before, but I've been twanging this puppy for the last 3 days, and can't put it down. Even on heavy rock settings it holds its own. Id venture to say that it is even more versitile than my Strat, or any of my other guitar, for that matter.

I'm rambling, I know, but I cant help it. For the value/dollar rating, it's off the charts

Yeah, man that's beautiful. Exactly like mine, except mine has a black pickguard (awsome) and a chip in it. I agree with you, it holds up better and feels better than anything $300 near it's price range.

Wold you mind posting a pic of yours? I was thinking about changing to black, and maybe black tuners as well.
Thanks,
Bob

Hmmm... I guess I can try... I'm not at my own computer now, but I'll work on it when I get home.

Also... about that chip in mine... DO NOT USE THAT GIGBAG! GET A HARDCASE!!

I know what you mean. Mine has a tinted neck too, but not the butterscotch shade that looks like crap. It just has tint that gives it the look of a few years of age. And it feels better than my USA Deluxe Strat neck. Mine's an 08. It rocks :D Literally :)

That looks cool. The black goes with the black paint more than the original white pickgaurd does.

I saw one a guy had that was a red tele that he'd replaced the p-guard, knob mount/plate and the tuners with all black parts. That was cool too.

If I can find a pair of black fenders I'll switch it all out

I think the black tuners on a maple head looks way better than chrome.

The nice thing these is: They're cheap guitars (cost) so I don't have any qualms about modding it

Exactly, dude. Hey, also, they make emg's for telecasters... Just a heads up, 'cause since your name is shredhead and you are changing the hardware to black, seemed like maybe you like metal. So... there's an idea for you.

Yea, I'm an old metal head from the 80s (I'm 46) But thb when I tried this guitar out I tried it on heavy settings. I was surprised a "tele" could do that. It blew my mind. I like how the sound of it is compressed, very balanced and just different. It also does clean tones too.

But yes I do love a good rockin tone. I'm not an EMG fan, but I will probably leave the bridge pup there. I would like a bit more from the front pup though. I'm sure i can find a replacement for that too. Either SD or Dimarzios make good pickups

I've given up on looking MIA Fenders because I couldn't find one I could bond with. The MIMs are another story. To me they seem to be becomming the most popular line Fender has.

Oh, hey thanks. Ahh, I love the thing. I hope Fender never let's the crew in Mexico that made my tele quit or get fired, 'cause it's great. So adjustable, versitile, and fun. Most of all, with all of it's one of a kind perks, like those scratches, it's all me. I don't want to get rid of it, ever.
