I found this pic on the web describing it as a '48-'49 Broadcaster prototype. Is there anyone here that can confirm this? :?:

I was there and I saw it

Read the "Fender Telecaster" (also known as the "Tele Bible") by A. R. Duchossoir. You can find it for about 10 bucks.

By the way, Fender reissued the "snakehead prototype" in the mid-90's. Look for it in Youtube. I saw a video of a guy demonstrating it there.

I've been Gassin for one of these so I'm thinking that I'll build one because not only would it be a great player but would sound great.

I may be wrong, but I believe I just saw this guitar on display in the Rock Hall Annex in NYC. There was a great Clash exhibit there as well.

It very well could be true. I'm sure that many would like to view this.

The Rock Hall has an annex in NYC? So now there's an actual reason to go to New York?
