I got one of them about two months ago and I feel your pain. The wiring diagram at the site has not been updated, so it describes a previous model with the Lace Sensors and no S-1 switch. As far as I know no other Telecaster made by Fender has ever had the same arrangement. The American Deluxe has an S-1 switch but no middle pickup. The earlier James Burton Upgrades have a middle pickup but no S-1 switch. The combination of the five way switch and the S-1 gives eight useful pickup selections. And you can only find that on the modern James Burton Upgrade, I believe. The American Deluxe Stratocaster has a similar arrangement but it's not a Telecaster.

Not that I'm planning on rewiring mine of course.

If you're just interested in what the switch settings do that's on the spec sheet at this site.
