Hello friends. I am looking for a tele. I have been looking at the reissues of the 72 deluxe (i think...), anyways the ones with humbuckers on them. I also like the thinline with the semihollow body deal and the f-hole.

well anyways i found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... playType=2#ebayphotohosting

can some one suggest if its a good deal? cos im new to the art of guitar shopping and stuff. and its easy to get ripped of out there especially for a simpleton like me. lol.

So yeah, I would really appreciate some timely advice.
Thanks in advance. :-)

I always worry about buying guitars off eBay! This isn't a standard Fender guitar...it appears from the description that the seller has built this guitar from Warmoth and Fender parts. It might be great it might not...as it is not a standard Fender guitar I would be a little concerned buying a guitar that someone else has built.

I think my biggest issue with that listing is that the return policy is 'NOT SPECIFIED'. So if it's a sub-standard instrument (Fender or not) you're pretty much stuck with it. I've bought guitars off ebay before and have been very satisfied, BUT I won't buy if I can't return in case it's not up to snuff. I say pass unless you can return.

Looks like something by Burns. Don't know much about Burns guitars, so I couldn't tell you a specific model.

Buy a real Fender. I like my 72 Deluxe ri and got it because I like the way the humbuckers sound. It gets bright, but also way dirty and is extremely versatile like that. I was just about ready to purchase the American series Tele when I noticed the 72 ri and fell for the way it sounded and how the neck felt as it is a different neck. I liked the larger headstock look as well. I will probably get an American series tele one of these days. Keep shopping, play as many guitars as you can and you will find the one you want. I'd recommend a local store so that they can help you after the sale as well.

I like 2 high output single coils. My current Tele set up has Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders and it smokes!
