BUT MINE SOUNDS BETTER ON A CLEAR CHANNEL. YOU ALSO NEED A GOOD AMP I RECERMEND A PEAVY CHORUS 400.

ALSO I RECERMEND USING A ''SCREAMING BLUES'' EFFECTS PEDEAL.

Play a tele through a tube amp. See what happens.

SO TRUE!!! I do not own a tube amp but I am working on getting a 15 watt blackheart. It doesnt matter what guitar, 9 times out of 10 it sounds better through a tube amp. Again that is subjective. I have played my tele through 3 different traynor amps, 2 different blackheart amps, the hot rod deville, delux and the twin and delux reverb... ill be honest it sounds awesome through any of those amps. The amp I gig with and practice with however is a line 6 spider 2 which sounds A.) Like crap, and B.) Like crap, and also a little C.) Like crap. I dunno what I was thinkin when I bought it. Ah to be young again.

I don't get you man. Are you trying to tell us that the Spider 2 sounds less than awesome. LOL The main lesson to me is that a great guitar sounds great through a great tube amp. It can sound good through some ss amps (often with the appropriate effects). My tele sounds way good through my Marshall TLS 100. I particularily like to play it on either crunch or lead channels. It just sings to me.

SS are VERY good these day. I prefer tube, but SS can give you a great tone, at lower cost too.

Awesome, I got an American Deluxe strat on layaway. What color? and maybe post a pic or two.

Congrats to both of you on your new aquisitions. A GAS bubble has been building for years on an Am Deluxe Strat for myself. I like many of the available colors. Those SCN pickups just give you quite a variable with which to fiddle.

SilverLesterStd, thanks a lot. You should definately get a deluxe strat. Either new at guitar center before their prices increase, last I checked online the deluxe is the same price, or used. The s1 is awesome and the scn pickups are great, it would add a nice friend to your tele I saw earlier!

Hey, I saw you mention the AD Strat on another forum. I have a good friend who owns one and it is definitely on the top of my great guitars list. Truly an amazing guitar, go and get it.

Oh, and a USA Tele through a vintage Champ or some kind of vintage tube amp is probably the best setup EVER. Ok, maybe not the best ever, but definitely the best for under $5000.

Dude, I don't have the bucks right now. Since this strat is on top of your list, buy it and I'll live vicariously through your pleasure until I have the cabbage. Just joking. Not about the funds for my aquisitions though.

I have to agree. You cant get true Tele tone through solid state. I don't have anything amazing like a Deluxe Reverb, but my Champ turns the Tele into a BEAST!!!! I also took the Champ and put a line from the speaker into the Line In on my Princeton Chorus, and it sounds great.

I play classic rock and a little blues. It does a great job on both. :)
