Haven't heard anything about that yet, but since he already has several signature models with Fender, does he really need more?

Sounds interesting. Thanks for the tip, as I had not heard about this yet, and while I don't own any of his signature guitars, I am always interested to see his variation/interpretation of Telecasters when they come out...

I think the marketing dudes thought "We need a Metal-oriented Tele in the Squier line!" so.. that's where John5 comes in. Smart move.

No specs out?

I imagine it will be black (of course), with a regular shaped headstock (or maybe CBS-Strat shaped), rosewood fretboard, 2 Duncan Designed humbuckers, modern-style bridge and a chromed pickguard.

That's awesome, the reason I never sprung for a J5 tele was really cause of the headstock. I would be curious about the squier model. But I have 2 teles, plus Im getting the squier thinline... only for the shoreline gold finish. So it would have to be uber special for me to jump on. I know J5 Has always been a big tele fan and a big country fan so.... i am sure his model is fantastic but the squier? How much like the fender one could it possibly be?

One of the J5's has the odd headstock and one has the strat one, I believe. Either way, I'd totally get a Squier version of it, especially considering the quality of the newer models.

The "odd" headstock I believe is a headstock fender used to use on their 12 string accoustics... or still do? Either way J5 said he was always a big fan of it and wanted it on his guitar. I never liked the strat headstock so the j5 tripple deluxe is out for me. Now the J5 telecaster I have seen John 5 play has the normal tele headstock. I wish they made a version with the canoe paddle headstock and the tele headstock... I mean if it was a signature guitar wouldnt you wanna play the one the artist plays? He may by now play one of the production models.

I thought J5 did what he did with zombie after manson? Before manson I thought he was more of a session kid/guy and had a group with Rob Halford.
