Looking at a custom shop tele but can't tell which model it is. Headstock only says "Fender" and reverse side has custom shop and logo.
One piece body, weighs in at 7 lb. Butterscotch blonde, birdseye maple neck and fingerboard with 21 frets. 4 bolt one piece neck.

Anybody have an idea which model this is? Which models did not even have the name on the headstock? Does not say "telecaster" or anything, only "Fender".

It could be a NoCaster. Does it have 2 pickups or 1 pickup?

Two pickups--standard looking tele pickups. One ply black pickguard.

Almost certainly a nocaster. Ashtray style bridge? 3 saddle? 5 screw pickguard? If yes, then it has all the symptoms of a nocaster. if it's been relic'd and has a spot of wear on the pickguard horn then it definitely is.

IN case you are really sure the Custom Shop logo is authentic and its a 1 piece body, sounds like could be a Nocaster. The serial must be in the bridge plate. Birdseye neck I dont see being used lately so much, i think it was way more common in the Cunetto times (97 and before).
