Hey Fellas'.
New here (although some of you may no me by the same username on shortscale.org.). But I wanted an opinion on the 72 RI Tele Custom and to know some stuff about it since im thinking on purchasing one in the 4th quarter of the year. I've seen Keef Richards play one. But wanted to know about the RI.

I have honestly only heard good things about the '72 Custom. It's often described as having "the best of both worlds." It keeps that traditional Tele twang with the single coil bridge (unlike the '72 Deluxe), while giving you that Wide Range Hum at the neck. Although I've never played one, it does sound like a great set up (Those wide range humbuckers have received a lot of praise from what I've read). Just make sure you go to a guitar store and test it out first! Make sure you like how it sits in your hands.
