I got a new '62 Custom Classic Reissue Tele. There is too much relief on the neck. I have gotten the smallest angled ratcheting screwdriver I can find, and it still won't fit between the rhythm pickup and the adjustment screw. Do I have to remove the neck to tighten this truss rod? I have removed the 4 bolt neck from my '72 Tele before, and never had a problem, but don't want to mess anything up by removong the neck on this new guitar. Do you folks think there are any problems with removing the neck? Thanks!

It's really annoying but I think you will have to unscrew your neck. No problems doing that. I think I had to do it 2 or 3 times with my Tele ever.

Since I'll have to remove the strings to take off the neck, wonder how I'll know how much to tighten truss rod? Should I assume about 1/8th to 1/4 turn if it doesn't feel tight already? Thanks!

I removed the neck and tightened it a little. The truss rod was already a little tighter than I was hoping, but I was able to tighten it and it did improve the action somewhat. It could stand to go a little more. How long should I wait to see if it will be correcting itself before I advance? This is a new guitar, so I was surprised the truss rod was already tight. Anyone know if this is normal?
