i bought a tele on e bay, it has a top load bridge, is this a squire body?

There have been some Fender Teles with top load bodies, I just cannot remmeber which years...

Fender USA made some top-loaders during 1959, then again in the 80's for some time. There are the 59 Custom Shop reissues that also have the top loader bridge.

Fender Japan also made them during a time, I believe, and Squier still makes the Affinities with a top-loader bridge, so many possibilities 8)

What did the ad claim that it was? The more info that you can give us will help a lot in deciding what type of body it is. Pics?

Good point Mike. If the guy claimed it was an unmodded Fender and in the description he didn't say anything about a top-loader bridge (in case it is) then you should ask for a refund. As said before, it still can be an authentic Fender.
